<b>Shea Butter</b> High concentrations of fatty acids and vitamins make shea butter an ideal cosmetic ingredient for softening skin. Shea butter also has anti-inflammatory and healing properties.</br></br>
<b>Glycerin</b> Is a natural compound derived from vegetable oils or animal fats. It’s a clear, colorless, odorless and syrupy liquid with a sweet taste. Glycerin is a humectant, a type of moisturizing agent that pulls water into the outer layer of your skin from deeper levels of your skin and the air. According to a 2008 Pubmed study, glycerin can:
hydrate the outer layer of the skin (stratum corneum), improve skin barrier function and skin mechanical properties, provide protection against skin irritants and accelerate wound-healing processes.</br></br>
<b>Soybean Oil</b> Soybean oil contains linoleic acid which helps strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier (helps deliver essential fatty acids that can help maintain the skin barrier, decrease water loss, and aid skin hydration) and Vitamin E, which provides antioxidant and environmental protection for the skin.</br></br>
<b>Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil</b> is very rich in linoleic acid, easily absorbed by the skin, and therefore very useful and effective as a skin moisturizer. It contains chemical constituents such as proanthocyanidins, polyphenols, flavonoids, and anthocyanins, all of which are very potent antioxidants that help to diminish environmental damage. </br></br>
<b>Olive Oil</b> Olive oil contains three major antioxidants: vitamin E, polyphenols, and phytosterols. Antioxidants, when topically applied, may help protect the skin from premature skin aging. Vitamin E partly accounts for the anti-aging benefits of olive oil because it helps restore skin smoothness and protects against ultraviolet light. Hydroxytyrosol, a rather rare compound found in olive oil, also prevents free radical damage to the skin. Unlike commercial moisturizers that can clog pores and exacerbate current skin conditions, olive oil penetrates deeply into the skin while providing a restoring effect. </br></br>
<b>Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil (Sweet Almond Seed Oil)</b> It’s a mild, hypoallergenic oil that can be safely used even on baby skin. It’s rich in Vitamin E, monounsaturated fatty acids, proteins, potassium and zinc, besides a number of other minerals and vitamins.</br></br>
<b>Chondrus Crispus Powder</b> Due to it being a seaweed extract it is packed full of vitamins and minerals which are vital to the maintenance of healthy skin.</br></br>
